As a partner of Global Sharing Day we want you to make the most out of the day and benefit from its outreach to well over 10 million sharers worldwide. Below you’ll find more information on what you can do on the day, how to register your events with us and how to best promote them to ensure the world knows about the valuable contribution you’re making to the Sharing Economy.
To put the world’s first ever Global Sharing Day firmly on the map, and spread the word about the Sharing Economy, we’re coordinating The Greatest Share on Earth.
What is it? One hour where sharers around the world unite by actively sharing something of their choice between the hours of 1pm and 2pm (local time) on 14th November. And we ask you, as our Partner, to be a part of it.
How can you be a part of it? Run your own sharing events involving as many people as you can - employees, customers, suppliers, business partners. You can share anything and remember, it doesn’t have to be a physical event (a few more hints below). Sharing can easily take place online.
Tell us about it! As important as this sharing hour itself, is telling the world about it so that we can record the impact of the world’s first Greatest Share on Earth. Firstly, register your event(s) here so that your important contribution will feature in our media pack and reach our global network of 10+million people. Read up on how to maximise social media activity around the event and hear other ideas on how to promote what you’re doing on our Partner promotion page.
Newsflash: ThePeopleWhoShare are hosting their own live Greatest Share on Earth pop-up/flashmob style events in and around London and the South East. Find out how to get involved!
We cannot wait to tell the world about the many sharing events that will take place on 14th November! And we want to give your events as much exposure as possible. Please take just a few minutes to tell us about the events and activities you’re running: REGISTER YOUR EVENTS HERE. This information will be shared with the media and on social networks, and will feature in the extensive promotional campaign in the run up to the day.
Sharing is so easy! From sharing a lunch, to sharing some music or a ride to work - that’s how simple it can be. And remember, sharing events aren’t limited to physical events - they can take place online too. To get your ideas flowing here are some classic sharing economy activities:
Clothes Swap, Time Bank, Book Exchange, Music, Lunch, Knowledge Share, Skills Swap, Peer-to-Peer Lending, Car / Ride Sharing, Child Care, House swap.
